This is a uni-directional people counter. The principal is based upon the interruption of a horizontal infrared beam. When the infra red beam is interrupted, by a person, the receiver detects this and will increase the count value on the display. The count values of both directions are displayed. Because of the innovative use of electronics, the counter can run up to 2 years on one set of batteries.
